NEW ORLEANS – Six individuals from the Fort Hays State track and field teams were recognized as 2022 USTFCCCA Indoor All-Central Region performers, announced Tuesday (March 8) by the coaches association. The Tigers picked up a total of seven all-region honors, with Philip Landrum doubling up in the 60m dash and the 200m dash.

Other honorees included Nolan Churchman in the heptathlon, Alexandra Hart in the high jump, Lyric Holman in the 60m dash, Xavier Robinson in the triple jump and Ryan Stanley in the pole vault.

The top five individuals in each event from each region earn All-Region distinction, in addition to each member of the region’s top three relay teams.

Landrum now has eight All-Central Region honors to his name, including four indoor and four outdoor. This is the first time the junior has picked up the distinction in the 200m and the third time he has earned the honor in the 60m. Landrum ran a top time of 6.73 in the 60m race this season while setting the school record in the 200m with a time of 21.29.

This is Churchman’s second All-Region honor and his first individual award (2021 outdoor 4x400m). He set the school record in the heptathlon twice this season, breaking his own record at the MIAA Championships with a seven-event total of 5,433 points.

Hart picked up her third All-Region award and her second indoors after clearing a top height of 5-7.75 this season.

Holman broke her own school record in the 60m dash multiple times this season en route to her fourth career All-Central Region honor. Her top time of 7.45 came late in the regular season, good for sixth in Division II.

Robinson earned his second All-Region distinction this season and his first as an individual (2021 outdoor 4x100m). He posted a top mark of 49-3.5 in the triple jump, the longest distance at FHSU during the DII era.

Stanley picked up his fifth All-Region honor after continuing to raise his school record in the pole vault. He cleared an indoor school record 17-2.25 at the MIAA Championships last month, winning his first conference title. It was just one-half inch shy of his outdoor National Championship winning height of 17-2.75 from last season.

All six All-Region honorees, in addition to four other competitors, will represent the Tigers at the 2022 NCAA DII Indoor Championships this weekend (March 11-12) in Pittsburg, Kan.
