With 10 seconds left in the game and down by three, on the road to MIAA opponent Central Oklahoma, Craig Nicholson, Wichita sophomore, took the game into his own hands and drained the three-pointer needed to send the game to overtime.

Nicholson finished the game with 19 points and nine assists. He followed up that performance with a team-high 27-point and seven assists the following Saturday night in Tahlequah, Okla. against Northeastern State.

Nicholson was named the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association Men’s Basketball Athlete of the Week honors for the second time this season after his key role in Fort Hays State University’s two road wins last week.
