Lindsay Roberts hits provisional at Mines meet

GOLDEN, Co. – With the announcement of national qualifiers just around the corner, a handful of Tigers competed over the weekend in their last chance to compete.

Lindsay Roberts took the trip to Colorado for the Mines Last Chance meet on Sunday. Roberts hit a provisional mark with her fourth place finish in the 1,500-meters. She ran a strong time of 4:37.82 to earn her provisional time. Roberts also earned a second place finish in the 800-meters, crossing the line in a time of 2:15.52.

A group of Tigers traveled north to Kearney for the Lopers Last Chance meet where some notable performances took place. TJ Dozier placed second in the discus with a throw of 165 feet, 1 inch, followed by a third place finish from teammate Jacob Gaughan at 160 feet, 9 inches. Jake Morrow (16 feet, 6 inches) and Sam Dreiling (16 feet, 6 inches) placed first and second in the pole vault. Rohey Singhateh claimed third in the long jump at 18 feet, 3 1/5 inches, and Lucas Broxterman took third in the high jump at a height of 6 feet, 4 inches.

The 2018 NCAA Division II national qualifiers will be released Tuesday (May 15) afternoon.
