FHSU Men Remain No. 2 in Central Region Rankings for Third Straight Week

The Fort Hays State men’s soccer team remains ranked No. 2 in the latest NCAA Central Region Rankings, released on Wednesday (Nov. 2). The Tigers attempt to track down the No. 1 ranked team in the region in the final week of the regular season.
Lindenwood and Fort Hays State have held steady in the No. 1 and No. 2 positions in the region. Lindenwood has been No. 1 in all three releases of the rankings. The teams will meet for the second time this season on Sunday in St. Charles, Mo. Lindenwood took the first meeting 3-2. The Lions are 13-2-2 overall, while FHSU is 12-3-1 overall. A win by the Tigers on Sunday could make the decision difficult for the region committee of which team is the top in the region.The top two ranked teams will be selected to the NCAA Tournament. Fort Hays State is looking for its fifth consecutive trip to the tournament. The Tigers are the two-time defending NCAA Central Regional champions.Below are the NCAA Central Region Rankings for November 2, 2016.
