As Fort Hays State Volleyball prepares to kick off their 2015 season, three of their MIAA opponents are ranked in the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Preseason Top 25 poll.
Nebraska-Kearney, Fort Hays’ first home game of 2015, September 22, enter the season ranked 5th nationally. Central Missouri will be in Hays October 23 are ranked 13th. And Washburn, who the Tigers will face in Topeka on September 26 and then October 26 at Gross Memorial are ranked 14th.
Central Oklahoma also received votes in the poll, the Tigers and the Bronchos will clash in Edmond, Okla. on October 16th.
The season for the MIAA opens September 4-6. Fort Hays State starts their season on the road at the Northern Michigan Tournament in Marquette, Mich., September 4-5, the East Central Tournament in Ada, Okla., September 11-12, and finally the Johnson & Wales Tournament in Denver, Colo, September 18-19.
