Keehn Sets FHSU 5,000-Meter Record at Husker Invitational; FHSU wins six events at UNK

Cory Keehn highlighted a good weekend for men’s track and field by setting the FHSU indoor 5,000-meter record at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational in Lincoln, Neb. FHSU also had five individuals and one relay team victorious at the Charlie Foster Classic in Kearney, Neb.

Keehn won the 5,000-meter run at UNL by topping a field of 17 runners, including 11 runners from Division I schools in a time of 14:24.57. He topped his own school record in the event, running just over 15 seconds faster than his previous time set in 2014. His effort gained a provisional mark and vaulted him all the way to seventh on the national performance list. Teammate Jonny Bernasky also had a good race, finishing second overall in 14:41.44, which gave him a provisional time a standing of 13th on the national performance list.
