Five Earn MIAA Honor Roll Accolades from Women’s Basketball

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Five student-athletes from the Fort Hays State women’s basketball team earned a spot on the MIAA Academic Honor Roll, announced Wednesday (March 29) by the league office. Rachel Doll, Jill Faxon, Carly Heim, Tatyana Legette and Sarah Pimentel were all listed on the Honor Roll for their work in the classroom.

In addition, Faxon and Heim earned the MIAA Scholar-Athlete Award after garnering honorable mention All-MIAA status last month.

To be named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll players must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher through at least two terms of attendance at the certifying member institution, excluding summer terms. The Scholar-Athlete Award is given to student-athletes that earn All-MIAA accolades and have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.50. Newcomers are honored in the summer after they have completed the two-term requirement.
