FHSU Soccer Teams Aim to Impress in the NCAA Tournament

For TMN, I am Kraig Pierce.

The FHSU Tigers have been decimating the opposition on the soccer field this season. Both the men’s and women’s teams are looking forward to making a name for themselves and FHSU soccer programs as they take their skilled teams to their respective NCAA Division II tournaments.

The men’s soccer team boasts a record of 13 wins and 4 losses, which places them at the top seed in the Central Regional bracket. The Tigers will be hosting the final match of the Central Regional tournament and will be facing second seed, Lindenwood on November 18th. FHSU and Lindenwood played on November 6th with the Tigers winning the match by a score of 2-0. If the Tigers secure another win against Lindenwood they will secure a spot in the national quarterfinals and will face the winning team of the Midwest Regional Championship in the semifinals.

The Lady Tigers are also bringing FHSU to the soccer spotlight. With a record of 14 wins and only 4 losses, the Lady Tigers have earned the third seed in the region and will be facing 6th seed Harding on November 11th in Mankato, Minn. If the Lady Tigers beat Harding, they will go on to face second seed and host, Minnesota State Mankato.
