Fort Hays State University’s Hispanic American Leadership Organization hosted a Cinco De Mayo celebration in the Quad on Thursday. Students, faculty and families came to enjoy an evening of Mexican food, games and piñatas.
“My goal was to invite as many people out here as possible,” HALO president Alexis Trejo Hernandez said. “It wasn’t really to teach Hispanic culture. It was more like a gathering for everybody just to have people come out and enjoy the day.”
