Many students are still attempting to find where they belong at Fort Hays State University. While the answer can be interpreted as each student belonging together…as Tigers, it is important to realize Fort Hays offers not only a college education but a college “experience” as well.

FHSU offers over 150 student-pioneered clubs/organizations, which offer scholarships, academic aid, fun activities, and more. Sometimes it can be hard for a student to find what is best for them, especially since there is a broad range to choose from. For students looking for a religious organization to call home, there are a number to choose from.

There are 10 religion-based organizations recognized on TigerLink. Each of these groups is dedicated to helping out FHSU students in some way.

For athletes and non-athletes alike, Fellowship of Christian Athletes might be a good option for those looking “to have a place of fellowship for anyone.”

“The challenge and adventure of receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, serving Him in their relationships and in the fellowship of the church,” FCA says on their TigerLink page.

Christian Challenge on campus, arranges many activities and events to help students make new friends, open doors, and find a sliver of fun in their busy schedules.

“We are a group that seeks and welcomes students and gives them the opportunity to know Jesus Christ as Lord so that they would love God, love others, and serve the world,” Christian Challenge says in its mission statement.

FHSU student Jarod Bauman said Christian Challenge has helped him as a student.

“I do think it’s easier to have a positive outlook on my classes because I have a good support group,” he said. “[It’s] a good sense of community that made me feel like they wanted to help me grow my relationship with the Lord.”

Other groups include Catholic Tigers, a “group of FHSU students devoted to learning about and growing their Catholic faith” and the Encounter organization, which is dedicated to “reaching the college student in a spiritual environment.”

Another group is the Muslim Students Organization.

“The MSA is a dynamic and inclusive organization committed to providing a supportive environment for Muslim students,” MSA says on their TigerLink page.
