PUEBLO, Colo. – The Fort Hays State track and field teams wrapped up the 2023 NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships with five more All-American honors and two school records on Saturday (May 27). The Tigers finished the week with eight All-Americans, including seven first-team trophies, and four broken school records.

The women earned four All-American trophies and combined for 12 team points to finish in a tie for 23rd, while the men lifted three All-American trophies and earned 11.5 team points to place 26th.

Philip Landrum wrapped up his Tiger career with two school-record performances, breaking his own mark in the 100m dash before eclipsing a 20-year-old record in the 200m dash. He finished ninth in the 100m finals after completing the race in 10.15 to earn second team All-American recognition, eight-hundredths of a second better than his previous school record.

The senior stepped back up to the starting line just 70 minutes later, placing fourth in the 200m dash after crossing the line in 20.57 to shave sixth-hundredths of a second off the best time in school history. Landrum finished his career with five All-American honors, including two first-team awards.

Mattie Rossi collected her second All-American trophy of the week with a third-place finish in the 400m hurdles, crossing the line in 58.97. The senior was neck-and-neck with the leaders around the final turn before hanging on to finish third, collecting her ninth All-American honor all-time.

Taylor Savolt was eighth in the same race, completing the lap in 59.84 to reach the All-American podium for the first time in her career.

Addie Berens achieved All-American status for the third time in her career with a seventh-place finish in the javelin throw. The junior recorded a top toss of 152-7 on her second attempt of the day, helping her reach the All-American podium for a second year in a row after earning second team honors as a freshman in 2021.

Rhyann Brown finished in 21st place in the javelin throw after a top toss of 126-5.

Competing in his first national championship meet, Dayton Williams was unable to get over the 6-8.35 in the high jump to finish in a tie for 15th.
