Robben earns MIAA honor

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Fort Hays State goalkeeper Isabel Robben was tabbed the MIAA Women’s Soccer Goalkeeper of the Week on Tuesday (Sept. 20) for her efforts this past week in contests against Washburn and Emporia State.

Robben picked up her fifth shutout win of the season in a 1-0 non-conference win over Washburn in Hays. She made six saves in that contest for her fifth shutout of the season as the Tigers knocked off the previously unbeaten Ichabods. She then made a career-high eight saves in a 2-2 match with Emporia State to open MIAA play. For the week, Robben had 14 saves and an .875 save percentage.

Robben joins Julia Kristensen of Central Missouri (Offensive Player of the Week) and Lindsey Edmonds of Central Missouri (Defensive Player of the Week) as the weekly honorees from the conference office.
