Fort Hays State Student Government Association president, Chris Roberts, Salina junior, is currently being detained in the Ellis County Jail according to an FHSU official and confirmed by an Ellis County employee both speaking on a condition of anonymity.

The cause of the detainment is not yet known, but he has been housed since Friday and is expected to be released Monday following a bond hearing according to a source.

Roberts was arrested last Thursday on suspicion of DUI and transporting an open container.
