KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Fort Hays State wrestling team was ranked third in the 2020 MIAA Wrestling Coaches Dual Poll, announced Wednesday (Jan. 15) by the league office. The Tigers picked up nine points in the balloting process.

Defending champion Nebraska-Kearney topped the poll with three first-place votes. The Lopers edged out Central Oklahoma by just one point, who picked up two top votes to rank second. Newman is just one point behind the Tigers in fourth, with Central Missouri occupying the No. 5 spot in the poll.

Fort Hays State finished fourth in the league last season, going 2-3 in MIAA duals a year ago. The Tigers are off to a 1-0 start this season after besting Central Missouri Wednesday evening.
