After opening the dual season with two wins and two losses over the last week, the Tiger wrestling team hits the road to kick off the conference season Wednesday (Jan. 15) when they face off with Central Missouri in Warrensburg, Mo. The opening bout is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. inside the UCM Rec Center.
The Tigers are 33-23-1 all-time against Central Missouri, including wins in 11-consecutive duals. The Mules last defeated Fort Hays State late in the 2008-09 season.
The Mules are off to an 0-2 start to the dual season. John Feeney leads the team at 133 pounds with a 15-9 record, while 184-pounder Dominique Hampton is close behind with a 14-9 mark this season.
Brandon Ball, Anthony Scantlin and A.J. Cooper all opened the dual season with four wins last week.
