By FHSU SPORTS INFORMATION

After seeing its game with Kansas Wesleyan on Sunday (Dec. 15) postponed to January 27, Fort Hays State Men’s Basketball turns its focus to Bethel College on Tuesday night (Dec. 17). Game time at Gross Memorial Coliseum is 7 pm. The Tigers enter at 4-4, while Bethel is 12-3.

The Tigers are coming off a pair of road losses in MIAA play during the first week of December. This will be the 17th meeting between FHSU and Bethel. The Tigers hold a 14-2 advantage in the all-time series and have won 14 straight. Bethel gave FHSU all it could handle last year in Hays in a double-overtime thriller. The Tigers survived by a score of 101-96.

Devin Davis continues to lead the Tigers in scoring at 12.5 points per game, while also leading in assists at 2.5 per game. Jared Vitztum leads the Tigers in rebounding at 7.1 per game, while tying for second in scoring with Nyjee Wright at 11.4 points per game each. Jake Hutchings also averages double figures in scoring at 10.1 points per game.

The Tigers will have one more game this week on Friday against Avila before going into a two-week holiday break.
