FHSU Career Services “Resume Madness” event has come and gone, with a large number of up and coming members of the workforce coming to get their professional image sharpened to the best of its capabilities. Taking place in the campus’s Forsyth Library students were invited to create or improve upon their professional resumes and get the guidance of experienced staff and student volunteers on how to write their resumes, and how to excel at job interviews.

“This event’s whole purpose is to help students,” said Annie Gerber, a student volunteer that had assisted with two previous Resume Madness events, “It allows them to perfect their resume building and interview skills for all future business ventures.”

The event, as with previous semesters, was a packed one, showing the interest students held in getting a jump start on their future.

“This event is always pretty full,” Gerber said.

This was evident as each table was bustling, students actively working on their resumes asking for advice and preparing themselves to use the knowledge they were gaining from this. Gerber also said this would not be the only event provided by them this year. Where she discussed events such as the Mock Interviews, where students would get a chance to practice their interview skills. An event called “Meet the accountants”. And a Career/Internship fair where students would get a broad look at different paths to take throughout their college career.
