FHSU management development center presents fall workshop series

The Management Development Center at Fort Hays State University will begin its fall series of workshops with Excel and CliftonStrengths.

Intermediate Excel: Data Analysis, Wednesday, Sept. 18,will explore a practical application of the widely-used computer application. Participants will learn how to make data driven decisions by processing and analyzing large quantities of data and producing user-friendly outputs.

This workshop is for those with a solid foundation in Microsoft Excel who wish to explore how to use it for data analysis applications. The workshop is from 8:30 a.m. to noon in McCartney Hall, room 116, on the FHSU campus. Registration is $119.

CliftonStrengths Engagedwill be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 1, in the Memorial Union’s Stouffer Lounge. Participants who have already taken CliftonStrengths Essentials can explore all 34 of the CliftonStrengths talent themes.

Individuals will hone their top five strengths, understand their top 10, and manage their bottom five while learning how each one contributes to unique partnerships and teams. Registration for this workshop is $259.

Registration can be completed online through the registration link at www.fhsu.edu/mdc. Registration closes one week before each workshop. Hays Area Chamber of Commerce members are eligible for a 15-percent discount on registration.

Both workshops are valid for 0.3 continuing education units.
