The Tigers own a four-game win streak over Northeastern State going back to the 2016-17 season. FHSU won in Tahlequah last year in double overtime.

Fort Hays State clinched a spot in the MIAA Tournament on Thursday night with a win at Central Oklahoma. The Tigers are currently in fourth place in the MIAA standings. Northeastern State is currently in a tie for eighth place in the MIAA standings, sitting on the cutline to get into the MIAA Tournament.
