Four in Top 10 for men’s cross country

HASTINGS, Neb. – Four runners from the men’s cross country team hit the course at Lake Hastings Park for the Bronco Stampede Saturday morning (Sept. 15), with all four finishing in the top 10. Competing unattached, Michael Eisenbarth finished second in the eight-kilometer race, crossing the line in 27:39.63 after leading for the majority of the first seven kilometers.

Robert Loeffler (28:07.35) and Kaleb Crum (28:09.61) finished back-to-back in sixth and seventh, respectively, while Peter Franklin rounded out the top 10 after crossing the line in 28:23.41.

Next on the schedule for the Tigers is a trip to Fayetteville, Ark. for the Chile Pepper Festival next Saturday (Sept. 22). The men’s race opens the morning at 9:30 a.m. before the women compete at 10:20 a.m.
