As students new and old flock back to Fort Hays State University’s campus, friends, faculty and a side of the funnies will await them. The FHSU University Activites Board will be hosting comedian Andy Erikson on this Friday, August 18th at the Beach Schmidt Performing Arts Center. Erikson, a native of Ham Lake, Minnesota, will bring her love of squirrels, unicorns and standup comedy to the stage of Beach Schmidt where she regularly entertains audiences with her whimsical one liners and playful stories that are intertwined throughout her routine in thought provoking (and hilarious) ways.
Erikson was once a semi-finalist for the Andy Kaufman award and has won several comedy competitions and performed at prestigious festivals over the years. She made her television debut in 2015 on NBC’s Last Comic Standing, where she finished among the top five. She was also featured on The Guest List: Live From The Barrel House on Seeso. In 2016 she was a guest star on Scream Queens on Fox and played Chanel #7. Erikson; however, says her favorite thing about comedy is making friends.
