Heart of Texas Bowl: Tigers vs. Greyhounds

For TMN, I’m Kraig Pierce.

The Heart of Texas Bowl is going to be a football game for the ages, as the Fort Hays State Tigers face off against Eastern New Mexico University’s Greyhounds on December 3rd. The game, which takes place at Copperas Cove, Texas, will start at 5 pm on Saturday. This will be the first time that ENMW and FHSU have played each other since the 30-23 Tigers win in Hays back in 1979.

The Heart of Texas Bowl is a huge stride for Tigers Football, whose 7-4 overall record season leads them to their second consecutive bowl in two years. This is the first time that the Tigers have been to more than one bowl game in consecutive seasons. Though the Tigers are 3-3 in away games, the players are ready to take on the Greyhounds and show the country that FHSU football is expanding and making a name for itself even outside of its region.

The Greyhounds also boast a season record of 7-4, with a 6-3 conference record, and have an away record of 3-2.
