Ghost Hunter Dustin Pari haunts to FHSU Campus

By:  Jesse Cooper

October and Halloween might be over for the year, but that doesn’t horror is around yearly.

On October, 28th Dustin Pari, known for his adventures on Syfy’s hit show, Ghost Hunters came to the campus of Fort Hays State University, where he gave a presentation on human spirits, animal’s spirits, and Demons. Dustin showed pictures classic ghostly encounters and showed the audience some audio of an exorcism. Eventually, he concludes his show, but it doesn’t end there for everyone.

Dustin took me, and a few members of the University Activities Board, to the Pioneer Room, where we tried to communicate with some spirits through an Electronic Voice Phenomenon, or an EVP. He also set some lights on the table for the spirits to tinker with. We didn’t see any lights change, but we did get to hear a few voices through his machine.

The voices didn’t speak much, but one told us he was from Russell, Kansas, and another was even speaking German. Hays is primarily a Volga German town so, that actually would make sense.

Now, you may or may not believe in spirits, and think everything was prerecorded, but for many Americans, they do believe. Have you ever felt like someone was watching you but no one was there? You might say it’s just your imagination, but it could be something a little more interesting than that.

Sound Off!
