Join us at Fort Hays State University on March 7th 2017 for an inspirational coaching lecture from Coach Herman Boone, as seen on the movie “Remember the Titans” Herman Boone will share his story about racial intolerance showing that through teamwork, people can overcome their obstacles.
Herman Boone was a football coach who grew up in a segregated black school that didn’t teach him much, so he had to learn on his own. Education has changed a lot since the era of segregated schools. Now, teachers inspire people to learn and keep no information from them because of the color of their skin. Athletics has changed a lot too, since those days. Now anyone can be a coach instead of a select few from well to do backgrounds.
Coach Herman Boone often lectures about education, teamwork, and working hard to achieve goals.
The lecture will take place on March 7th 2017 at 6pm in the Beach/Schmidt Performing Arts Center at Fort Hays State University.
