HAYS, Kan. – Fort Hays State Men’s Basketball announced the signing of Jared Vitztum for the 2016-17 season. Vitztum is a native of Hays and attended Thomas More Prep-Marian High School.
Vitztum averaged 19.8 points per game and 10.7 rebounds per game during his senior year. He was an all-state honorable mention selection and named to the All-Mid-Continent League First Team, helping TMP-Marian to a 19-4 record. He was a key member of the TMP-Marian team that qualified for the Kansas Class 4A-Division II state tournament during his junior year.
Vitztum is the second Hays product to sign with the Tigers for 2016-17, joining Isaiah Nunnery from Hays High School.
