Morrow Improves Provisional; Tiger Men Win Four Events at Concordia Invite

SEWARD, Neb. – Fort Hays State men’s track and field had four individuals win their respective events at the Concordia Invitational on Friday (Feb. 12). Jake Morrow was among those four as he improved on his NCAA provisional qualifying mark in the pole vault.

Morrow upped his best mark of the season to 16’1.25″, topping a field of 30 competitors. He now ranks 13th on the national performance list.

The Tigers had success in a pair of distance events. Israel Barco took the 1,000 meters in a time of 2:33.30, winning the race by .12 seconds. Isaac Williams topped the 5,000 meters in 15:26.04, winning by just over 16 seconds. The Tigers had the top five performers in the 5,000.

Doryan Germany-Garner won the 400 meters in a time of 51.24 seconds, the best in a field of 16 runners.
