Tigers Face Jets in Wichita for Final Dual of the Season

Fort Hays State looks for back-to-back dual wins on Thursday (Feb, 11) in a matchup against Newman University in Wichita, Kan. The Tigers took care of Central Missouri in their last dual by the score of 44-9 and look to maintain that momentum in their final dual of the season. The Tigers enter with an overall record of 6-5, 1-3 MIAA. The match begins at 7 pm.

The No. 6 wrestler at 184 pounds, Jon Inman, looks to remain undefeated against NCAA Division II foes having gone 15-0 thus far, and 28-1 overall on the season. Inman, who has won his last thirteen matches, leads the Tigers in wins (28), takedowns (48), pin falls (13), and is considered by the NCAA as the third-most dominant wrestler in all of Division II.

In addition to Inman, Adam Ludwin (125) has been a fixture in the lineup for the Tigers and with his victory in the Central Missouri dual last week has 20+ wins in each of his five years at FHSU. He is now 20-7 this season.

Noah Killip (141) is another Tiger that presents problems for opponents. Heading into Thursday, Killip has a 14-4 record and has 91 career wins at FHSU. Bradley Little has also been a tough match up for opponents at 149 pounds, now 18-6 this season. He has 92 career wins.

Senior Joey Dozier (157) is one win shy of tying his single-season career high of 14, as he enters the dual with a 13-11 record. Dozier has increased his win total each year for the Tigers and is on pace to do that once again this season.

Newman enters Thursday with an overall record of 1-7 and MIAA mark of 0-4. The Jets are led by Dustin Reed (133) who has been almost untouchable on the mat this year with a 22-1 record. Heath Gray (174) has also accumulated 22 wins this season for the Jets and sits at 22-10 overall for the season.
