Local students among interns honored by FHSU’s Management Development Center

FHSU University Relations and Marketing

HAYS, Kan. — The Management Development Center, a division of the College of Business and Entrepreneurship at Fort Hays State University, recently hosted a grant-funded internship presentation night. The internship program aims to create valuable learning experiences for students while simultaneously supporting the needs of a Northwest Kansas business or startup business.

Ten FHSU students participated throughout the semester in business-related internships for Northwest Kansas businesses or entrepreneurial startups. Five entrepreneurial internships were funded by Peter and Pamela Werth and five Northwest Kansas business internships were funded by the Dane G. Hansen Foundation. Previously, E2E Summit located in Hays, Kan., funded a summer marketing internship.

“This is an exciting opportunity to see how our FHSU student interns have used their classroom knowledge and applied it to their internship responsibilities,” said Saul Sanchez, internship coordinator for MDC.
