The Women’s Leadership Project to Screen documentary, “The Hunting Ground”

Women’s Leadership Project along with Residential Life, Jana’s Campaign, the Kelly Center and the Division of Student Affairs will be hosting a screening of the film, “The Hunting Ground”, directed by Kirby Dick.

The film’s director Kirby Dick is an Academy Award-nominated and two-time Emmy Award-winning documentary film director. His most recent documentary was “The Invisible War”, an investigation rape within the U.S. military. It won the 2014 Emmy Awards for Best Documentary and Outstanding Investigative Journalism, Long Form; a 2013 Peabody Award; and the 2012 Sundance Film Festival Audience Award. It was also nominated for an Academy Award- for Best Documentary Feature.

“The Hunting Ground” is a riveting expose of sexual assaults on college campuses, the institutional cover-ups, and the toll they take on students and their families.

The film will be shown in the Black and Gold Room in the Memorial Union, starting at 7pm.
