Football Lands 13 on MIAA Academic Honor Roll; Trent Earns Scholar-Athlete Honors

Fort Hays State football had 13 student-athletes named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll, released on Friday (Nov. 21). Earning MIAA Scholar-Athlete honors for the second-straight year was Jesse Trent.

To be a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll, athletes must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and have at least two terms of attendance at the certifying member institution, excluding summer terms. To earn Scholar-Athlete honors, athletes must earn All-MIAA status in their respective sport and carry a GPA of 3.5 or higher.

Jesse Trent nabs the Scholar-Athlete honor for a second consecutive year, as he holds a 3.89 GPA as a Biology major. Trent earned All-MIAA honors for the second straight year to attain the honor. He is also a two-time CoSIDA/Capital One Academic All-America selection as a defensive lineman.
