The Hays Public Library hosted activities on Saturday for the Frost Fest celebration, which takes place every year in the month of December.
The activities throughout the day were targeted towards children, while more adult activities will happen later in the month.
The first event of the day was a come-and-go breakfast with storytime with Santa about halfway through the meal with the option to take a picture with him afterward.
The final event of the day took place in the afternoon and the activity was holiday-themed crafts for the kids. There was also the 2018 animated “The Grinch” playing during the craft session, the purpose more for background noise.
The next day, the library opened to give people hot chocolate before they went to attend the Frost Fest lighted parade. The library invited viewers to go inside and watch from the windows because of the dropping temperatures.
On Wednesday, the library will host an event for adults. The last event in their how-to series, the Hays Public Library, will show guests how to gift wrap presents.
On December 16th, the Library will host another event for adults that is about Holiday Cookie and Recipe Swapping.
