Pennies to prosperity: maximizing student savings and discounts

It can be tricky to live on a budget as a college student, especially for those who enjoy eating out and paying for online subscriptions. Fortunately, there are some local businesses in Hays that give out discounts for students.

Arby’s offers a 10% meal discount for showing a student ID. Another chain restaurant that participates in this discount is McDonald’s. However, not all of the discounts are for food, as there are a lot of deals for shopping needs.

Best Buy offers a discount between 10-30% when using a student email address. Amazon Prime Student is another great discount. What would usually be $14.99 a month, is free for six months then only $6.49 per month after that with the use of an educational email address. Amazon Prime Student also offers free unlimited photo storage, free streaming to TV and more.

There are also some great entertainment bundles out there to help save on more than just one service. One of these is the Spotify + Hulu + SHOWTIME. This bundle offers a free 3-month trial then it is only $4.99 a month after that.

A discount for all the movie buffs out there is offered by AMC/Cinemark, where students can get up to half off the original price of a ticket.

These are just a few of the discounts around Hays and online.
