The National Student Speech Language Hearing Association (NSSLHA) is once again hosting the “Egg My Yard” fundraiser.
Those who purchase egg packages will have members of NSSLHA hide easter eggs on their lawn the night before the sign-up day. The last day that yards will be “egged” is Friday.
“The Egg My Yard Fundraiser offers a way for local families to help support student organizations in addition to creating an opportunity to engage in fun Easter festivities, plus the parents do not have to go through the effort of stuffing eggs with candy and hiding it in their yards without their kids noticing,” NSSLHA member Wesley Davis said.
NSSLHA offers three different options, depending on how many eggs will be hidden.
Egg package pricing:
20 Eggs: $20
40 Eggs: $35
60 Eggs: $50
NSSLHA asks those who participate in the fundraiser to place the empty eggshells on their porch the Monday after the hunt so they can be used again next year.
All funds go towards financial aid for students attending the annual state conference (Kansas Speech-Language-Hearing Association) and the national conference (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association).
“Travel and conference fees associated with attending these conferences are pricey, so NSSLHA completes several fundraisers to offset the cost,” Davis said.
