The evening of Friday, December 6th held great cheer as the annual downtown Christmas tree was lit and seasonal activities made great fun for all on the Union Pacific Plaza of downtown Hays. This year celebrated the 30th anniversary of the tree being planted, as it has brought joy to much of the Hays community ever since.
The evening consisted of Hayrack rides throughout downtown Hays, caroling by the Ellis Elementary Honor Choir, pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus, story time with Paw Patrol and Chilly in the Hays Public Library, and hot chocolate to warm up all visitors.
