Leading the offense for the Lions is Abi Corbett, who is hitting .354 this season with 29 hits, 13 runs, and eight RBI.

Pittsburg State takes on Nebraska-Kearney for two games on Saturday before the doubleheader with the Tigers on Sunday. Heading into the weekend, PSU is sporting an overall record 13-6, and an MIAA record of 2-0.  The strength has been pitching and defense this season. Emmie Robertson currently leads the MIAA in wins (9), strikeouts (97), and opponent batting average (.180).

The Tigers are currently 8-9 overall and 2-2 in the MIAA. They have split each of their last three doubleheaders. The Tigers are led by the dual threat of Paxton Duran. This season Duran has produced a batting average of .432, with 16 hits, 2 doubles, a triple, and a homerun to go along with her six wins, 68 strikeouts, and team leading 3.14 ERA. After a slow start to the season at the plate, Erin Elmore has seen success against MIAA opponents so far and leads the team in batting average (.571) in conference games only.
