FAYETTE, Iowa – The Tigers dropped their third consecutive one-goal decision on Saturday (Sept. 12) at Upper Iowa. Though it snapped a string of three straight matches decided by a score of 1-0, the Tigers fell to the Peacocks 2-1 to fall to 1-3 overall.

The Peacocks were leading 2-0 late in the second half when FHSU’s Kylee Loneker got a pass from Gabrielle Makatura 25 yards out and beat the Upper Iowa goalie to the left corner in the final minute of the game. It was too late though as the Tigers lost by one goal for the third consecutive match.

FHSU had 12 shots on the day and put six on net. Kristen Thompson had five saves on the day between the pipes, but fell to 1-2 on the year.

FHSU opens up MIAA play on Friday (Sept. 18) when they head to Kearney, Neb., to take on Nebraska-Kearney at 7:00 pm.
