Fort Hays State women’s golf closed out the 2014-15 season at the MIAA Championships at Alvamar Golf Club in Lawrence. The Tigers finished eighth as a team and Samantha Hobson led the way for FHSU individually.
Hobson tied for 29th individually, shooting a total of 267. She had rounds of 97, 81, and 89. Megan DeWerff and Quillen Eichhorn tied for 40th. DeWerff shot rounds of 93, 92, and 93, while Eichhorn shot rounds of 94, 94, and 90. Abby Schmidtberger was 44th with rounds of 94, 93, and 97, while Hadley Tharp tied for 45th with rounds of 98, 94, and 107.
Marla Souvannasing of Central Oklahoma won the tournament with a total of 228. Central Oklahoma won the tournament as a team shooting a total of 934. Lindenwood was second with 966 and Northeastern State was third with 970.
