Herman earns All-MIAA Honors; Tigers finish 11th at MIAA Championships

Fort Hays State’s Trey Herman earned All-MIAA honors for his play throughout the season in MIAA events and the Tigers finished 11th as a team at the MIAA Championships at Alvamar Golf Club in Lawrence. Herman led the Tigers by tying for sixth in the tournament.
Herman earned All-MIAA honors for the second straight year as he finished 10th in the individual point standings, accumulating 18.5 points over the four MIAA events throughout the season. Herman led the Tigers at the MIAA Championships by tying for sixth place.

Herman backed up a first-round 78 by shooting 75 in the next two rounds. His total of 228 was seven strokes back of individual medalist Eric Kline of Central Oklahoma, who won a playoff against MIAA Player of the Year Travis Mays of Central Missouri.

Dylan Wonnacott finished in a tie for 36th, shooting rounds of 88, 80, and 78. Grant Storey was 51st with rounds of 102, 75, and 83. Kade Megaffin was one place behind Storey with rounds of 91, 84, and 87. Billy Frey tied for 53rd with two rounds of 91 and an 89.

The Tigers shot 985 as a team. Central Missouri won the tournament with 897. Central Oklahoma was second with 924 and Lindenwood was third with 943.
