Fort Hays State women’s cross country completed the 2014 season on Saturday (Nov. 22) at the NCAA Central Regional in Wayne, Neb. The Tigers finished ninth out of the 29 teams competing. Chelsea Jackson led the way for FHSU in 38th overall.
Fort Hays State finished with 264 points, fourth among MIAA teams competing. Minnesota-Duluth won the race with 40 points, Augustana (S.D.) was second with 59, Missouri Southern was third with 150, and Winona State was fourth with 151. The top four teams move on to the NCAA Championships.
Jackson covered the 6K course in a time of 23:04. Micki Krzesinski was 46th in a time of 23:23. Amanda Morgan finished 56th in a time of 23:36. Alex Keehn was 60th in a time of 23:44 and Sydney Lower rounded out the Tiger scorers in 72nd in 23:58.
