Tiger Basketball returns after holiday break

The Fort Hays State University basketball teams are ramping up and ready to be back home at Gross Memorial Coliseum after the holidays.

The Men’s team is starting out the new year at 6-4 and is looking to extend their two-game winning streak as they play back-to-back home games starting Saturday, January 4th at 4:00 p.m. vs #11 Missouri Southern (8-2) and Monday at 7:30 p.m. vs 4-6 Pittsburg State. 

Now ranked at #16, the FHSU Women’s basketball team returns from the Cruzin Classic in Fort Lauderdale, Florida as they came out with a win in both games, the first vs Harding (89-48) and the second win vs #6 Saint Anselm (70-63). 

Starting the new year out at 9-2, the women’s team is also looking to extend their winning streak as they battle both 3-7 Missouri Southern on Saturday the 4th at 2:00 p.m. as well as 5-4 Pittsburg State on Monday the 6th at 5:30 p.m. in Hays. 

After the two home matchups, both teams take to the road as they head to Tahlequah, Oklahoma for the January 9th games vs Northeastern State.
