Keehn and Tien to represent FHSU at Division II Indoor Championships

Fort Hays State track and field athletes Cory Keehn and Brady Tien have been selected to compete at the NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field Championships, held in Birmingham, Ala., at the CrossPlex, March 13-14. Both are in their senior seasons at Fort Hays State.

Keehn will compete in two events at the championships, selected in both the 3,000 and 5,000 meter runs. Keehn edged his way into the field in the 3,000, ranked 17th nationally with a time of 8:15.59. In the 5,000 meters, he is ranked 13th nationally with a time of 14:24.57 under his belt this season. Keehn was the MIAA Champion this year in both events and owns the school record in both.

Tien is currently tied for the seventh-best mark nationally in the pole vault this year at 5.05 meters (16’6.75″). He was an All-America performer in the event last year during the indoor season, finishing sixth nationally.

Keehn will compete in the 5,000 meters Friday evening (Mar. 13) and the 3,000 meters on Saturday evening (Mar. 14). Tien will compete on Saturday afternoon. Click on the link above to see the meet schedule
