The Thomas More Prep-Marian baseball team beat Rossville 6-2 in the Class 2-1A state semifinals on Wednesday at Kansas State University.
The victory put the Monarchs in the 2-1A title game on Friday against St. Mary’s-Colgan, which beat Frankfort 4-3 on Wednesday.
The Russell/Victoria baseball team dropped a heartbreaker to Silver Lake, 2-1, in the Class 3A state tournament in Manhattan. The Broncos lost 13-6 in Thursday’s third-place game to Burlington to end the season fourth in 3A.
