The Thomas More Prep-Marian softball team advanced to the Class 2-1A state tournament next week with a pair of wins Wednesday in Hays.
The Monarchs, the top seed in the regional, beat Sylvan-Lucas 6-0 in their semifinal to face Stanton County in the title game. Stanton County claimed a 5-2 win over Sterling in the other semifinal.
TMP took control in the regional title game, winning 10-3 to advance to the state tournament.
