The Fort Hays State University softball team won one of two games Saturday against Emporia State University.
The Tigers dropped the opener 15-7 in five innings before bouncing back to win 8-3 in the nightcap.
FHSU is now 18-21 overall and 4-10 in MIAA play. The Hornets moved to 22-13 overall and 8-6 in conference play.

Washburn used a stout offense in a doubleheader sweep of FHSU on Friday at Fleharty Family Field.
