On Thursday, FHSU Study Abroad Coordinator Stacey Lang addressed the Senate about various study abroad opportunities offered at Fort Hays State.

She said that studying abroad offers many programs for students to apply to. Every student can find their perfect match. However, Lang also said students can do more than just study abroad.

“You can do an internship if you want to do that, we have volunteer programs in other countries, service learning, you can study abroad and do an internship,” Lang said.

In addition to these opportunities, students can participate in the National Student Exchange program.

“You can go to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, Tennessee, Maryland, Virginia, and you pay Fort Hays tuition,” she said. “Your scholarships and financial aid apply.”

She said this is also a great way to gain more hands-on opportunities in your field of study.

Tiger Travel can help students explore the study abroad programs and opportunities available to them. Students can favorite programs, apply for programs, and set up an academic meeting with Lang.
