The Hays Community Theatre performed its summer musical last week, showcasing “Mamma Mia,” based on the music of ABBA. Its story revolves around Sophie Sheridan (Rebecca Cole) attempting to find out who her biological father is by inviting her mother Donna’s (Anita Walters) three past lovers to her wedding. Her pursuit of the truth results in some melancholy and jovial events where characters burst out singing to various tunes like “Dancing Queen,” “Chiquitita,” and ‘Super Trouper.”
