Week Seven Fantasy Football Tips

Welcome to week seven Fantasy Football tips. This is one of the more crucial weeks of fantasy football, as these next couple of weeks can really determine what teams make the playoffs. Let’s get right into the tips:

Tip #1:

If teams are in need of a quarterback for this week, or weeks going forward, start Geno Smith against the Falcons. The Seahawks face the Falcons in what promises to be a high-scoring game. Smith is ranked as the seventh-best fantasy QB this season and should provide a solid floor for fantasy points. If you need a reliable QB, he’s a strong play this week. Smith also leads the league in passing yards, attempts, and completions.

Tip #2:

Having a defense that puts up a lot of points can be the difference maker in winning matchups in fantasy. If you’re streaming defenses, consider picking up the Buffalo Bills, who are facing a struggling Titans offense, or the Rams, who play the Raiders. Both matchups offer solid opportunities for turnovers and sacks. Will Levis for the Titans leads the league in interceptions this season, and the Bills will definitely be sending a lot of pressure toward him, so expect some turnovers.

Tip #3:

If Bub Means is available in leagues before Thursday Night Football, he is almost a must-start this week. The Saints are playing without their number one and number two options this week against the Broncos. This will lead to Means leading the team in targets and receptions. Last week against the Buccaneers, Means had a team-leading eight targets and had a touchdown on top of that. Another plus side is that the Broncos are playing without star corner Patrick Surtain II who is arguably the best corner in the entire league. All of this combined is leading towards a very productive week for Means. Get him into lineups ASAP.

Tip #4:

In deeper leagues such as 12-14 man leagues, watch out for Ja’Lynn Polk for the Patriots. Polk has played 100% of the snaps in recent weeks and is emerging as the Patriots’ top receiver. Though his production has been limited, he’s a deep sleeper with big-play potential, especially as the Patriots’ offense evolves with Drake Maye as the starter instead of Jacoby Brissett.
