Criminal Justice club set to host annual murder mystery dinner

The Criminal Justice Club will host a Murder Mystery Dinner on Saturday, February 4th, at Thirsty’s Bar and Grill. During the dinner, people from each table will be able to take part in a murder mystery, as each one tries to figure out who the “murderer” is in a Who Done It? Style game.

Tickets are $50 for a single person and $85 for two, which cover dinner, dessert, and the show. It also helps raise money for the club itself.

“The dinner is one of two of our major fundraisers,” said Tamara Lynn, the co-advisor of the Criminal Justice club. “The money we earn allows us to do activities with club members, and funds our trips to regional and national conferences.”

Not only is the event a fundraiser, but it provides a fun activity for students and community members to enjoy in Hays.

“Hays doesn’t necessarily have a lot to do,” Lynn said. “This is just a great night out for people to join us.”

The Criminal Justice Club meets every Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in Rarick Hall, and while students must have a major or a minor in criminal justice to be a member of the club, they are free to come to the meetings.

“Anyone who is interested in just coming to check it out, we would love to have them,” Lynn said.

The Murder Mystery dinner begins at 7:00 p.m. next Saturday at Thirsty’s Bar and Grill on Vine St.
