SEARCY, Ark. – The 16th-ranked Fort Hays State men’s soccer team fell to Harding 3-1 on Saturday (Oct. 15). Fort Hays State jumped out to an early lead as a corner kick from Inigo Jimenez found Callum Frogson, who headed the ball in for an easy goal. Harding would answer near the midway point of the period when Camilo Porto crossed the ball to Stefano Silva who sent the ball into net leveling the match 1-1.

It was in the 84th minute where Harding took the lead as Jonah Pastiroff sent a clean pass to Elliot Bracy who chipped it past Kieran Brown in a 1-on-1 situation. Harding sealed the win with another combo from Pastiroff to Bracy in the 89th minute.

Harding held the edge in the shot battle 12-8. Brown and Jared Nitz each recorded three saves in the match.

The Tigers will be back in action next week when they host Southern Nazarene on Thursday (Oct. 20) before traveling to Tahlequah, Okla. to face off with Northeastern State on Saturday (Oct. 22).
