The Student Government Association is gearing up to host this year’s elections to fill the Freshmen/KAMS and AMS student positions within the student government. Anyone interested in being a part of the student government can fill out the application on TigerLink under the SGA tab.
Registration started for this form on Monday, but students have until September 19 at midnight to fill out their forms to enter the election.
There will be a meeting for students who fill out an intent-to-run form about the rules of campaigning at Fort Hays State and what the schedule will be like leading up to election day.
“This week we are tabling to help students that are interested in being a part of SGA,” Legislative Affairs Director Ella Burrows said. “The tabling in the union lobby will be Thursday from 11 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.”
Students that are not running for Student Government as a Freshmen/KAMS/AMS but are interested in running for student senate can apply for an at-large bid for your department in the same link above.
The Student Government will be tabling in the Memorial Union lobby near Starbucks on election day for students to vote on who they want to represent them in the student government.
Elections are set for September 21-22.
